Description
The heart shape is an ideograph used to express the idea of the “heart” in its metaphorical sense as the centre of emotion. The heart symbol pierced by an arrow indicated the wounded heart and love sickness. In this painting, I express that the heart feels the pressure of time. When we are content in the company of a loved one we don’t feel time slipping by and when it runs out we feel a yearning that is similar to the wounded heart. The hands of time pierce through it by arrows increasing its pain, second by second.
