Our emotional brain is largely connected to our sense organs of which the skin is the largest. From birth we respond to touch which is the most developed. A mother’s nurturing and loving touch is the only sensation that matters. We carry the memory of this sensation all through our lives. My mother is my pot of gold. Stable, safe and unchanging at the face of any adversity. She can be strong and soft. Beautiful in all conditions. Like gold is golden, Ma is Ma.
