**Job Title: Order Picker**
**Job Description**
As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for moving inventory and pulling orders for glass hardware parts. You will primarily use a physical order sheet to select items and prepare them for shipment. Initially, you will use a box cutter, but training will be provided for operating pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts. Prior experience is beneficial but not essential.
**Responsibilities**
+ Move inventory and pull orders for glass hardware parts.
+ Utilize a physical order sheet for picking orders and preparing them for shipment.
+ Operate manual pallet jacks and learn to use sit-down forklifts.
+ Package glass hardware and handle shipping and receiving tasks.
+ Unload trucks, break down pallets, sort, package, label, quantify, and stage items.
+ Perform cycle counting and maintain warehouse inventory.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 3 months experience with order picking.
+ Ability to read, write, and speak English.
+ Capability to read an order sheet.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs throughout the day, occasionally up to 75 lbs.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with sit-down forklifts is a plus.
+ Previous warehouse picking, shipping, and receiving experience is advantageous.
+ Basic computer skills.

**Work Environment**
You will be working in a large warehouse with aisles of inventory. The environment is clean but not temperature-controlled, so conditions reflect the outdoor weather. Noise levels can be moderate to high due to equipment operation. The dress code requires wearing pants and steel-toe shoes, with other PPE provided. Baggy clothing and tank tops are not allowed.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ELGIN, IL.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
